Trailer notes

 HOW and WHY Trailers are structured in this way The non-diegetic sound that they use in Horror film trailers is used for a specific reason; the use tense music that builds up throughout the trailer to a point where it reveals the jump scare or the part of the trailer that hooks you to carry on and watch the film. If the clip had no background music the scenes that they show wouldn’t be as scaring and frightening, because there is no build up. In addition another convention of Horror trailers are the snap shots of scenes that are normally less than two seconds, the reason that they only show seconds of the shot is because one they don’t want to show you what happens in all; because then the film would be given away also the background music that is building up with the snap shots of the clips adds to the suspense and the conventions of Horror trailer. Furthermore as the trailer continues the snap shots that start to show on the screen becoming quicker and quicker until the last on
